Arabic- Hummus Ba Tahina (Chickpea Puree with Tahini)


                 1 ¼ cups                             Chickpeas, soaked overnight

tt                                         Lemon juice, approx 2 lemons

1 cloves                              Garlic, crushed

4 ½ T                                  Tahini paste

As needed                           Cooking liquid from chickpeas

tt                                         Salt



  1. Drain, rinse and boil chickpeas until tender
  2. Puree chickpeas in a processor until smooth, season
  3. Add remaining ingredients and puree’
  4. Adjust consistency with cooking liquid
  5. Adjust seasoning
