Sake No Dengaku (Salmon with Sweet Miso Paste)


12oz                       Salmon fillet, 2 pieces)

3T                           Sweet Miso paste

3T                           Mirin

3T                           Powdered sugar

1/4t                         Shichimi-togarashi (seven spice powder)

Tt                            Salt

½ tsp                       Orange zest

As needed               Spinach



  1. Combine miso, sugar and mirin
  2. Sprinkle spice powder and zest on each filet, season
  3. Evenly spread paste on each filet
  4. Broil or bake at 400 degrees until desired doneness
  5. Serve on sautéed spinach
