Shao Moi- Steamed Open Face Dumplings




3 Tablespoon               Hot water

2/3 cup                                    Ap Flour




½ #                              Ground pork

1 Tablespoon               Minced ginger

1 Tablespoon               Minced Garlic

1 ea                              scallion Minced

2 Tablespoon               Soy sauce

2 Tablespoon               Rice Wine

1 Teaspoon                   Sesame Oil

2 Tablespoon               Minced Carrot

1 each                          bamboo shoot Minced




¼ Cup Soy Sauce

1 Teaspoon Ginger Minced

½ Scallion Minced

½ Chili






  1. Combine all ingredients
  2. Knead into smooth dough
  3. Cover and rest for 1 hour,
  4. Lightly floured board and knead for 2 minutes.
  5. Cut into 15 pieces, roll into round pieces 3 ½ inches

  2. Cook a little patty for taste
  3. Fill wrappers and fold into an open top purse
  4. Steam in Steamer for 7 minutes.
