Wakame To Tofu No Miso Shiru (Miso Soup with Wakame and Tofu)


                 ¼ oz                        Wakame, dried

8oz                         Tofu

1qt                          Dashi

6T (or to taste)        Aka Miso (other miso types can be used)

3 ea                         Scallion, minced



  1. Soak wakame for 15 minutes and cut into ½ inch pieces
  2. Cut tofu into medium dice
  3. Heat dashi to a simmer
  4. Add miso to taste
  5. Add tofu, seaweed and scallions (and other garnish)
  6. Bring back to a simmer, but do not boil

*options for additional garnish; lettuce, soy beans, cabbage, shiitake, bean sprouts, daikon, kabocha
